Active Ingredients:
Cetrimonium bromide ((C16H33)N(CH3)3Br) is one of the components of the topical antiseptic cetrimide. The cetrimonium is an effective antiseptic agent against bacteria and fungi. Its uses include providing a buffer solution for the extraction of DNA. It has been widely used in synthesis of gold nanoparticles (e.g., spheres, rods, bipyramids). It is also widely used in hair conditioning products.
Ethanol (Alcohol denat.) The "Alcohol denat" is just something they put in the Ethanol to stop you from turning it into drinking alcohol!
Antiseptic use Ethanol is used in medical wipes and in most common antibacterial hand sanitizer gels at a concentration of about 62% as an antiseptic. Ethanol kills organisms by denaturing their proteins and dissolving their lipids and is effective against most bacteria and fungi, and many viruses (including SARS [2]).
